The quality of Cody’s work has exceeded my expectations.

-Meredith Ares Remodel Our home is a lovely 1830-era Greek Revival that has been neglected for some time and needed significant structural and cosmetic work. Consultation with Viking lumber netted us the names of three contractors. We called them and within hours Cody had called back and arrived in our dooryard. Cody’s manner is straight forward and he clearly knows his craft. His eagerness and enthusiasm are infectious. He smiles all the time. A simple quiet word gets things done by the team. And music makes it all go better. We felt immediately comfortable with him. Over the next few months, our trust was verified and rewarded by this kind and gentle man with a serious sense of integrity.Each day I would come home from work and hurry into the house to see what was next. As the kitchen emerged from the demolition, and began to take form, the excitement built. Cody was there every day. His team was devoted to our project, so we never had to wonder if they would show up. They showed up. On time. Every day. And put in a full day’s work. They work with a smile. In late July 2011 we unexpectedly had our home under contract. Although we had some tentative house plans made it still came as quite a surprise in the current housing market. We needed to vacate our home by the first week of September! Our Realtor told us about a young builder who was doing quality craftsmanship in the area. This is Cody Keithan of K Construction Inc. Since time was of the essence with a Maine winter around the corner we requested he submit a detailed quote and contract in one week. And he did. When we met with him a week later he brought all quotes for electrical, plumbing, sheet rock, insulation, heating, materials list including individual specs for doors and windows, right down to the foundation!We knew immediately Cody was the right man to build our home. He has a posture of confidence and integrity. Intuitively we believed him to be honest. And he thought he could get us in by the end of the year! Immediately Cody went to work and was unwavering in his communication, honesty, and work ethic. In fact, we remain extremely impressed by this young man’s work ethic! As the deadline approached there were many late nights and Saturdays. He continued to be organized and worked efficiently and thoroughly. He communicated regularly for our input and kept us abreast of any material delivery delays or unexpected complications. Cody listened to our ideas and problem solved for best outcomes. Cody also provided much creativity to the job that enhanced to the finished product.We had several change orders that Cody dealt with effectively and expertly integrated into the final project, which did not compromise the completion date.
K-Construction Inc and the outside contractors that Cody routinely uses were an excellent team. Cody possessed exceptional ability to coordinate time schedules with outside contractors to minimize delays. This certainly was an important asset in being able to stay on time. And we were impressed with how clean they kept the job site!
In closing, we can’t endorse this young man and K Construction Inc enough for their care, concern and commitment to our beautiful home. Yes, we were in by Christmas!
